Joe Pitha

Background

US Shooting Team member, US Olympic Team candidate, IDPA Master, USPSA Master, 3-Gun Nation Pro Series competitor, Joe Pitha, began his competitive shooting career in his mid-teens.  As a member of the US Shooting team (1987-1992), he traveled the globe to compete against the world’s top competitors.  After his term on the US Shooting Team, he moved to Colorado Springs where he spent several years training for a spot on the 1992 Olympic Team.  After a break from shooting to pursue his engineering career, he rediscovered his enthusiasm for competitive shooting sports.  Starting with IDPA, he quickly achieved 5-Gun Master in the first year.  Next, he explored USPSA, where his seasoned skills and competitor mindset quickly launched him to Master.   Moving on, Joe found his real passion, 3-gun, where he has spent the last 6 years competing in major matches across the U.S.  Being on the 3-Gun Nation Pro Series for the last 4 years, shooting against the best in the country is one of his favorite achievements.
