Defensive Shotgun
The shotgun is one of the most versatile and effective tools for personal defense, offering unmatched stopping power and adaptability. This course equips participants with the skills to confidently operate and maximize the potential of this formidable platform.
Whether you're a first-time shotgun owner or a seasoned shooter, this course will elevate your proficiency, emphasizing safe handling, efficient techniques, and practical applications. Learn the mechanics and capabilities of your firearm, develop quick, efficient positioning, practice safe and effective methods for loading and unloading all while building speed and efficiency.

Course Outline
• Safe use and handling of the shotgun
• Ammunition types
• Loading, reloads and clearing
• Select loading
• The fundamental of basic shooting techniques
• Handling skills
• Slug Zeroing
• Buckshot patterning
• Target identification
• Shooting qualification
Includes diagnostics of your shooting and actionable corrective action(s).
Equipment to bring:
• Shotgun
• Sling (optional)
• Pistol
• Pistol-holster
• Mag pouch
• Pistol mags (min 2)
• Eye and ear protection
• 100 birdshot
• 20 buck shot
• 50 slugs
• 50 pistol rounds
• Brimmed hat
Participants must be 16 or older. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A valid US photo ID is required at registration. All students will be required to sign a waiver for this course. Registration will be in the training building. Upon entry to the facility, turn left and park in front of the tan building with the green roof.
Cancellations less than 14 days before class will result in a forfeit of $100 from registration fee. Cancellations less than 2 days before class will result in a forfeit of $200 from registration fee.
No refund for no-shows.
